The Houston yoga community will celebrate the Sixth Annual Houston Free Day of Yoga this Labor Day, Monday September 3, 2012 with an opening event at Menil Park. From sunrise to sunset, participating studios across the city will offer free classes as a way for people of every age and every fitness level to try yoga for the first time, experience a new style of yoga or share yoga with family and friends. Since the event’s inception in 2005, thousands of students have joined in the Houston Free Day of Yoga to experience the physical, spiritual, emotional and mental benefits of practicing yoga. Free classes have been offered at over 50 participating studios in communities reaching from the Woodlands to Downtown, Katy to Galveston, from Sugarland to Champions Forrest and all points in between.
