Jennifer Buergermeister is the founder of Breathecure®, a Houston-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The mission of Breathecure® is to promote breathing programs that increase the general well-being among people and dis-eased populations, and to promote health and wellness programs in areas such as schools and businesses. Jennifer Buergermeister is the owner of Jennyoga (now CuraYoga), a yoga studio and school located in the River Oaks/Highland Village area in Houston’s Inner Loop area. Jennyoga expanded into three locations in the greater Houston area in late 2010 newly named as CuraYoga. The three locations serve River Oaks, Heights Art District and Rice Village areas. The Cura theme (to bring attention to care for) has sprung into many branches, including CuraCanvas & Cabernet, CuraHorses, Breathe the Cure, and Curators of Yoga trainings known as One Yoga USA. Jenny is also the current president of the Yoga Teachers Association of Houston and the originating founder and president of the Texas Yoga Association and Texas Yoga Conference which is held every February in Houston. Jenny also founded One Yoga USA and is working with YAMA, Yoga for New York and the New York Yoga Teachers Association, Yoga Alliance and other state associations to build bridges among the states to stand together for Yoga and for One Yoga USA’s Project Seva 2012 – a 52 week project state to state to raise awareness and promote a shift in global consciousness using seva, music, sustainability and environmental awareness to “be the change.”
